girly girls

when i was little i used to think it was soooo cool to have long nails.
back in the day it was longer & brighter the better...think {lee press-on nails}...haha!
i would see ladies with their perfectly manicured nails and long for the day i could wear my nails that way.

the girls were at the store with me this weekend and spotted a pack of princess nails.
they just had to have them. i of course said, i don't think so. you are too little for those.
oh but i forgot to mention, daddy was with us.....

i love love watching them interact with each other.

riley is starting to become more and more aware of her surroundings, including her sisters.

ella has taken on a nurturing role with her baby sis, doesn't suprise me at all.

she loves to sit and talk to riley. riley always responds with big smiles and giggles. it's precious.

you told me the other day that you want to be a mommy when you grow up.

when you pray you talk about every single detail of your day, but it always includes..

"thank you Jesus, go in the car, go to grandma's house & do fun things"

what's in that milk?

i often times got asked this question when ella was a baby.

she went from a teeny tiny newborn {6lb 7oz, 18in.} to a rolly polly bundle.

for much of the early part of her life we were not even sure if she had a neck...seriously. 

being that i was exclusively breastfeeding her, people assumed my milk was pure cream,

and i soon gained the title of "mother cow". yes, lovely i know.

it seems that history is repeating itself once again.

riley gained nearly 2 1/2lbs in a month and is now a whopping 13lbs.

at this rate she will be surpassing all the records previously set by ella. i love it.

chloe will be three this week, yes three, where does time go?!

three has always been a magic age to her...

finally time to be just like big sister, time for lessons!

no longer sitting on the sidelines watching, but actually doing. such a big girl.

today was her first day of swimming lessons.

the entire car ride there she kept informing me that she didn't want to go.

i knew that if i could just get her into the water that's all it would take.

from the time she dipped her little toes into the water, that sweet smile never left her face.

she loves love it and can't wait for wednesday. i am so proud!

♥2 months♥

i am two months old today!

i am so much more alert now, no more sleeping the days away

i am a great CAT napper (mommy blames it on our busy schedule)

i wake up once to eat at night (nurse @8pm, 2:30am, then 5:30ish)

i love to be swaddled and have hard time sleeping if i am not

i still spit up, but after mommy took soy & dairy out of her diet, it's lots better!

i love getting massages (just like mommy)

i make lots of baby noises now, and when i laugh it sounds like i am coughing

i wear size 3 month clothes, but don't think it will be for very long

i had my first experience with a binky last week (i love it, but only get it during my fussy time @ night)

i love taking walks outside in my stroller

i love my big sisters eventhough they wake me up daily from my naps...better get used to it!

trip to the airport

we spent a wonderful 4 days in san diego this past weekend.

the last trip we made down south was for christmas.

needless to say, we were in need of a little san diego rejuvination.

i was so grateful for a few extra hands to help with the girls.

it was so much fun to dust my camera back off and take a few pictures, capture some precious moments.

the highlight of the first day was our trip to pick up grandpa.

weekend randomness

i am having a hard time finding the chance to blog these days...

actually finding the chance to do anything other than all things mommy.

i attempt to capture those precious moments of the girls throughout the day,

however, they often times have other plans, plans that do not involve picture taking. 

riley is doing really good. thriving really. 

she loves to nurse every two hours during the day still, sometimes more frequently. 

her fussy time always seems to hit right around 5pm like clock work, every night. 

i am hoping it's a phase and one that will not last too long. 

this last weekend we were able to spend a little time with my sister-in-law and her family. 

it was nice to have lots of people around, one's i could have adult conversations with.
