a beach day

a sweet surprise

we love surprises. especially when it involves daddy. too many days

have been spent without barth lately. this weekend was supposed to be

no exception. i packed our bags and headed to san diego with the girls. although

we are used to his never-ending busy schedule, it just never seems to get easier. 

we just deal, finding tremendous comfort and company with family. 

i had an unexpected visitor late friday evening. even though i love

surprises, it is usually hard to accomplish the surprise part...i am too inquisitive

at times and somehow manage to find out stuff before i am supposed to. but

this totally caught me off guard. barth was the last person i expected to see.

the nature of his job just doesn't allow for unexpected "free days". but he just

walked through the door, roses in hand and a huge smile on his face. i know it doesn't seem

like a huge deal, but when you are so used to preparing yourself for the late

 nights and work-filled weekends on a daily basis, it's the little things that mean so much.

the girls woke up saturday morning to daddy and some yummy muffins he brought

for breakfast...doesn't get much better than that. love seeing them so happy.

we tried soccer for a season... it was a no go much to her daddy's disappointment.

maybe we will try again later, but for now we have a little ballerina on our hands.

being a ballerina myself for several years, I can't say I was too disappointed

with Ella's desire to dance, guess it's in her blood.

ever since the move she has been begging me to find her a ballet school...I finally sat

down and searched the internetfor a few potentials. we found a match. she absolutely

loves it and can't wait to go back next week...actually she has already asked

if she can go twice a week, we will start with once for now and see where it

takes us. what a joy to see her so happy♥

 to dance. it was taking everything inside that little body of her's to stay

on her bottom and just watch. don't worry chloe, it will be your turn before u know it.

zoo day

we did a little more exploring this weekend, and decided to venture to

the los angeles zoo. the girls loved it and got in some much needed daddy time.

Barth has been working a lot lately. The girls are really missing him, but

know that daddy has lots of people to take care of at the hospital.

The question of the day is usually..."when will daddy be home..before I go to bed?"

My answer is usually, "mommy doesn't know, but daddy will try really hard to kiss you goodnight."

I often times wish that he could be home to see all the things they do during

the day, all the things I get to see that are so priceless. For now, I will attempt to

catch all those precious moments with my camera. We are so blessed to have

him in our lives and are grateful for all the hard work he does. I know that many

days he would do anything just to stay home and hang out with us. We are

so proud of you and love you more than all the hugs and kisses we

shower you with at the end of the day could ever express.

1st DaY of ScHooL

Ella had her first day of school this week. She was so excited to start. I think

she was ready to be back in school learning and doing crafts...she loves it!!

Chloe wasn't too sure about sister leaving, but she is handling it pretty well

and is enjoying having mommy all to herself for a few hours.

this was how chloe felt about her sister going to school...she wouldn't

stop making this face, it was pretty cute
