we ♥ soccer

we are really enjoying this soccer season as we watch ella growing more confident on the field.
there may even be a little aggression in that timid little body of her's. who knew?
today it was the sharks vs. the green fairies {i love all these names by the way}.
the sun made sure to show it's pretty face again as we did our best to keep cool, but were pretty unsuccessful.
nonetheless, it was a great game. tied till the very end with a winning goal by the sharks. woooo hooo!

daddy love♥

we made a spur of the moment trip to see barth today. 

i am down to one kiddo till noon three days out of the week so it makes these impromptu trips much easier.

daddy has been working lots and getting home later than usual so it was a treat to see him in the middle of the day. 

riley enjoyed walking around his clinic saying hi to everyone and weighed herself on the scale about a dozen times. 23.8 lbs just in case you were wondering. 

keeping our fingers crossed that we get to see our daddy on time tonight. thank goodness it's friday!

i wanna be just like you♥

nothing makes my heart smile more than to see my girls and the love they have for one another.

ella is the nurturing one of the bunch. always watching out for her sisters. giving in. forgiving easily. loving always. 

chloe is our compassionate one. she worries for her sisters. loves to lift them up in prayer and has complete faith that Jesus hears her. 

riley wants to be just like her big sisters. she never misses a beat and does her best to keep up. 

lately the girls have been very much opinionated about their styles. as much as i don't want to say it, i know it's just another sign that they are growing. 

lately it's been about the side pony. wasn't it just yesterday that i was walking around with this exact same style?

well it's back and it's taken over this household. once again riley wanted to be just like her big sisters.

  

girls♥weekend

my sisters and i spent a long overdue weekend together. just us girls. it was fantastic.
so where do we choose to go when we are without the kiddos? disneyland of course!!
i know this sounds kind of ironic, but when your standard trips to the happiest place on earth involve 5 kids ages six and under, add in the hot sun, hungry mouths, tired feet, lots of crowds it suddenly becomes quite the task. {i know all my mommy friends can more than relate to this last sentence}
so we booked a night at the disneyland hotel. this time just us big girls.
we enjoyed going on rides outside of fantasy land, eating at fancy restaurants, staying up late and best of all watching all the other mommies and daddies go crazy...i know, so mean right?!

a special thank you to our husbands who willingly took on the roll of super daddy. we came home sunday night to happy kiddos, full tummies and a somewhat orderly home. we love you!
i took my camera and enjoyed every second capturing the sights of the day. it was hard to get a picture of all three of us...i don't find asking strangers to take pictures very fun...but here are some of my favorites.

staying in the disneyland hotel was like the cherry on top of the entire weekend.

we took a break from the park on saturday and lounged by the pool. it felt a bit strange to do nothing but sit there.

i ♥ parades. this one did not disappoint. 

that evening we ate dinner at one of disney's finest restaurants, napa rose. it was amazing. we enjoyed every second of adult conversation and no rushing. the food was spectacular. 

day two was spent at california adventure. we went on ride after ride with little wait since we could take full advantage of the single rider line. two hour waits turned into 20 minutes and we often times ended up right by each other anyways. it was perfect. 

thank you sisters for an amazing weekend. let's do it again real soon. love u♥

progress report

for all of you who have been faithfully praying for this little cupcake, we are so grateful. 

chloe is doing so well. we have gone weeks now, yes weeks without any tears during drop off. 

her teachers have been able to see a side to chloe that was always hidden behind her sad face and say she is blossoming in the classroom...yay!! 

i am thank for each and every one of you who have kept my sweet chloe in your prayers. so blessed to serve a God who hears our cries.

she has been so opinionated about her hairstyles these days. today it just had to be a side pony. love her♥

almost forgot...

we lost another one. a tooth that is.
this one she pulled out all by herself. the tooth fairy left her three dollars. she is over the moon.
you have to look real close to get a peek at that growing gap.

i am so excited i just can't contain myself. seriously!
barth has been gone for a total of five nights, but it seems like an eternity. maybe it's the fact of me being way outnumbered. yes, i think that has a lot to do with it.
as i type he is boarding his flight in seattle to head home to us. yay!!

thank you to my uncle don who was the most amazing host during their stay. according to my husband you are a stud of a fisherman. a return trip is already in the works.
