i ♥ this ballerina

we started dance lessons this week. both girls this time around.
if you would have asked chloe a couple months ago if she was interested in any extra curricular activites the answer would have been "no way".
i have seen so much growth in her over the past several weeks. it makes me so happy.
there are now no more tears when i drop her off at school. in fact she can't wait to go.
she is becoming a little social butterfly, making friends where ever we go.
ballet class was a complete success. to say she loved it would be an understatement.

here she is ready {a whole two hours before class even started cause she just couldn't wait any longer} for her first day of ballet...

who needs toys?

seems like it's the simplest things that can entertain this little peanut.
her new favorite...cup w/a straw. she LOVES it. it literally can provide endless minutes of entertainment for her. in baby time that is like forever.
seems like my posts are all things riley lately. i think it's just that age where it's something new every day.
i guess these "riley blurbs" are my attempts of holding onto every single precious moment as long as i can. i love this age.

 so i seriously cannot get enough of this face...i just love her.

we celebrated riley's special day this past weekend.
the theme...pretty in pink.
as mentioned in a previous post, her birthday kinda snuck up on me.
between the holidays, sickness, last minute out of town trips and our usual schedule i had a total of five days to put something together.
i don't know how i got so behind on this one.
needless to say we pulled off a fun party with tons of pink, lots of family and plenty of cuteness.
i still can't believe my baby is one. i love you riley roo♥

i took riley out last week for her official one year pictures. we had fun.
she was looking pretty cute i must say.
although the weather was just a bit cold and the timing was a little too close to dinner she still did great.

here are some of my favorites of the day....

♥12 months♥

you are ONE today!!!!

you love to stand all by yourself, but have yet to take any steps. i am so okay with that.
you love to wave hi to just about anyone you see.
you blow kisses.
you are still nursing about 5 times a day.
you absolutely love food...potstickers, meatballs, olives, yogurt, crackers, cheerios, bananas, cheese....
the only baby food you will eat are the snacks...puffs, mum mums, yogurt melts are your favorites.
you actually say "hi"..although it sounds more like "aahhhhhi" when you wave. it is precious.
you have started sharing everything in the past few weeks, especially chewed up soggy food.
you have decided that opening every single drawer and cabinet you can reach is your new favorite pastime.
you like your toys, but are much more satisfied with an empty box or anything else that could be potentially dangerous.
you can be extremely loud and love to scream to get attention. this makes for an interesting time at restaurants.
you refuse to keep your shoes on.
you have six teeth, four on top and two on the bottom.
you now recognize people and when asked where a person is you can pick them out of a group by looking at them.
you love to sleep in your sleep sack.
you sleep great at night. to bed at 7:30pm up at 5:30 to nurse and back to sleep till 7:30am.
you still take two naps but are okay if we have to miss one.
you love your sisters and try to play with them now.
you are completely mesmerized with little dogs. you think they are the greatest.
you are still the most happy, smiley baby ever.

riley roo we love you more than you could ever imagine. you are a blessing to us all♥

no hands!!

crazy hat day

it's another spirit day at ella's school. 
on the agenda today...crazy hat day!!
it was so fun dropping her off and seeing all the kids decked out in some pretty awesome hats.
of course my shy ella wasn't too sure about this whole thing. she was certain she would be the only one looking silly.
she breathed a sigh of relief and proudly sported her sombrero as soon as she spotted her friends.

she has changed so much since her newborn days.
