i am completely enjoying these lazy days of summer.
all three girls home, no rushing, no schedule.
we spend most days indoors as the heat is becoming a bit too much.
the girls often spend hours playing make believe with each other and riley keeps right up with them.
they love to draw and their pictures are filled with their ideas of what awaits them on our upcoming trip.
i spend lots of time explaining different time zones to them and they are consistently filled with amazement that while they are being tucked into their beds at night, the kids in venice are waking up for breakfast.
they diligently mark off their countdown calendar each morning and will quickly and correctly give you the exact number of days till we embark.
so now we await with anticipation...10 days to be exact...

its been quite awhile since our last photo shoot..as i like to call them..which as i mentioned before is very unlike me.
so i got the girls to agree bribed the girls with skittles to appease me for a few minutes. literally a few minutes. i'll take it.

tidbits

we made it through another week of call. and a crazy one it was.

barth is now busily preparing for boards which will take place next week in chicago. and then just two short days after he returns we are off for our cruise through the mediterranean!  

it is gonna take some more time to get used to this incredible new camera. and i must admit i have not made enough time for my photography lately.

very unlike me.  

nonetheless here are a few snapshots, tidbits of the last week...

a very very successful day in my mind. 

i feel like riley is taking longer to catch on to the whole thing. 

or maybe its just the fact that this is child number three, adding to the ridiculous amounts of diapers we could probably build a small country out of. 

all is looking brighter in the land of potty and that makes this mama oh so happy!!

yep. it's that time again.

happy fourth.

summer is in full swing.
san diego is always a welcome change as the temps at home are easily reaching 100 as we are in the midst of the hot months.
115 is not unheard of this time of year.
it was a lazy perfect fourth spent with some of our favorite people.
speaking of these people. we are in the final countdown to our extravaganza of a trip.
in just under three weeks. a party of 13. cruising around the mediterranean. a trip of a life time. we are just a bit excited.
yep extravaganza seems fitting.
