{K} is for kindergarten

well, i did it.
i made it through the send-off to kindergarten.
my baby girl is now a full-time {5 days, all day} student.
but, since this post is not about a mama who just doesn't want to let go i will stop.

ella was completely over the moon with excitement today.
last night she carefully lined out all of her clothes from the bows on her head all the way down to her ruffle socks.
she got to choose her breakfast this morning...dry cereal with a side of almond milk {a new addition in our household due to riley's allergies}.
her choice of song in the car ride to school..."i got a dream" from none other than the tangled soundtrack. perfect.
she jumped right into line without even glancing back. no tears for this kiddo. i guess she was ready.
i was pretty proud of myself and my ability to keep it together.
i am sure the distraction of the hungry baby on the hip and the three year old who insisted she ride in the stroller had nothing to do with that.

ella bella, we are so proud of you. i just can't believe how much you have grown up. you are an incredible girl. i pray that God will watch over every precious little footstep you take. i ♥ you to the moon and back.

my {3} girls

i just can't get enough of the sister pictures.
i love how their unique personalities start to shine with each snapshot.
i love my girls.

what do you think of my little "sprout"?

a {sister} comparison

three girls. three completely different personalities.
ella is the quiet and shy one. she is a little mommy. when reprimanded she will melt into tears.
chloe is the fiesty one. full of personality. she knows what she wants. when reprimanded she has been known will talk back. rumor has it, i was the most like her.
riley is the laid back, go with the flow baby. she is all smiles. i have yet to discipline her. we will have to wait on that one.

now for the picture comparison. each taken at seven months. love it.

{i think the rolls speak for themselves}
{already looking pretty sassy here}

{just chillin}

sittin pretty

i ♥ my little sitter.
her sisters both mastered this skill around 5{ish} months.
riley took her own sweet time.
i attribute it to the following reasons....
number one, the previous home we were in had lots of hardwood. no squishy carpet. so not first time sitter friendly.
number two, her rolly polly stature equates a rolly polly bum.
i think number two sounds cuter.
i think she just may have it down pat now. here's to hoping her sisters don't keep knocking her over. out of love of course.

so long, farewell... {friday: hawaii edition}

i ♥ hawaii and the memories we made.
it was just what the doctor ordered. a much needed break after our past year of craziness. it was perfect.

i ♥ my girls

a little piece of paradise we brought back with us...macadamia nut hershey kisses. mmmm mmmm mmmm.

the hula girls {thursday: hawaii edition}

the girls got their wish.
grass skirts and coconuts. they were beyond thrilled.
i think the pictures say it all. sorry i couldn't just pick a few. they were all so darn cute.

check out these moves...

the banyan & the sub {thursday: hawaii edition}

a visit to the banyan tree is a must when visiting maui.
the girls were facinated by its ginormous size, and just like their daddy wanted to climb every inch of it.

we surprised the girls with a little excursion. something both barth and i had never done.
a ride on the yellow semi-submarine.
although i think you can see way more fish doing the snorkel thing, it was a fun experience for the girls.
they loved interacting with the divers and even got to see a sea turtle.

the one and only picture i got with my love...kuddos to photography by ella

play all day, sleep all night {wednesday: hawaii edition}

seems like that was a going trend our entire trip.
it was a wind in your hair, sun in your eyes, sand between your toes, whatever goes kinda day{s}

a luau {tuesday: hawaii edition}

growing up i had my fair share of trips to the islands.
one of my favorite parts...the hula dancers. i could watch them for hours.
like mommy, like daughter. the girls couldn't get enough of all things hula.
the dancers, the grass skirts, the coconuts. they were mesmerized.
on our way back to the hotel after the luau they only had one thing on their minds....
hula outfits. gotta get one.

this is the life {monday: hawaii edition}

the girls wasted no time getting our trip started.
our morning started at 4:30am, thanks to the three hour time difference.
they enjoyed a breakfast of cereal and fresh maui pineapple on the lanai. this became a morning tradition.
each morning they were greeted with dozens of birds, hoping for a morsel or two. the girls loved it.
we hit the beach before the sun even had a chance to warm us with it's presence. much too early.
ella and chloe loved playing in the waves. thank goodness for those swimming lessons.
they would lay on the sand and let the waves crash over them. i think the sand made it's way into every nook and crany of their bodies.
i am still finding it.
