50's day + muffins with mommy...

...makes for one busy morning!
somehow we managed to make it out of the house on time with all accounted for!

so special to spend the morning with my chloe enjoying muffins. just the two of us.

spending the day with these two while ella is at school. 

there is just never a dull moment. 

so far we have ready a gazillion books, had a few dance parties, played dress up, mani & pedi's, a break for snack and even a photo shoot.

all before 10:30.

this morning i threw my big girl camera in my purse as i rushed out the door. 

mornings are so hectic trying to make sure all kiddos are accounted for, fed, lunches packed, homework in folders, multiple drop offs...

this is my morning crew. their smiling faces make even the craziest of mornings so worth it.

lately...

i feel like i have been lacking in my posts lately.
perhaps it is because we are in a post call week and it always takes a bit of time to readjust.
the past few days have been fantastic.
getting to see my hubby more and having my mom in town are two things that are sure to put a smile on all our faces.
my big girl camera has been neglected lately as barth and i finally got iphones and i became completely addicted to instagram.
i feel so legit now walking around with my fancy phone that has the cutest cover on it...polk a dots of course.
not to completely forget about my camera i did have a chance to pull it out a few times in the last couple days...

this one makes me smile. i love how giddy my girls get when daddy is home. 

a visit to grandma and grandpa. love how these two are posing for my camera. a definite rarity for sure. 

chloe has her kindergarten testing tomorrow. i can't believe it. 

check out chloe's face. she apparently just got pinched by riley. can u guess who thinks she rules the roost in our home? 

talk about crazy weather. we go from pouring down rain to sunshine and 80's in a matter of days. today we have clear blue skies. a perfect opportunity for an outdoor lunch.

she lost it. finally.
this tooth has been holding on for dear life for weeks.
she had been without a gap in her smile for sometime and now it's baaaaack!!!!

sunshine, studies and sunhats

not much going on here. 

we are in the middle of call week. not our favorite time that's for sure. 

today we are enjoying some gorgeous weather. sunhats required. 

oh and this little munchkin was over the moon that she had "take home" homework.

spring break excursions

despite the looming sickness we still managed to venture out for some fun.
first stop seaworld. when your grandpa and grandma are pretty much neighbors with shamu it would be completely rude to not stop by to say hi.

a disclaimer: my ability to take photos this break was completely limited due to this nasty flu bug. i of course had high hopes of taking a ton of pictures and was already envisioning myself sifting through the hundreds of photos having a hard time trying to choose which ones to share. this is not the case. oh well, at least my girls are feeling better♥

next up disneyland! 

this was the toughest day. 

do not attempt to go to the happiest place on earth if...

number one. it is spring break and every one and every one else on earth chose to visit the park.

number two. your little girl has a fever and only wants to be carried by mommy. (my bicep still hurts)

number three. you are carrying your child and it is 80 degrees outside. the 80 degrees is nice, but it gets rather hot after the first couple of hours. 

number four. you yourself are suffering from alternating fever to chills all day long. (motrin and tylenol were my best friends!)

we are nearing the end of our spring break...no!!!! 

all good things must come to an end right?

actually it has been yet another break recovering from the flu. at least this time it was not a stomach bug. 

it was like a game of round robin. fortunately it was barth and i who got hit the hardest. 

nonetheless it was still wonderful to be surrounded by family. barth even took a few days off. 

easter was spent in san diego. 

our fab five was talk of town walking around in their hot pink dresses. (thank you grandma)

the weather was fantastic. 

chloe finally got to meet britt.

the girls made a fortune at our easter egg hunt. (thank you again grandma)

most importantly we got to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus!!
