All within 5 minutes

Our Chloe is such a fun little girl. She is a social, sassy, nothings-gonna-stop me kinda gal. But, boy does she keep me moving. It amazes me the things she can get into in a matter of minutes, sometimes seconds. One minute she is quietly playing with her baby dolls, the next minute she has the entire shelf of books on the floor, along with the puzzles, wipes & diapers.

I decided to follow her with my camera the other night before bed...the proof is in the pictures!

Started off on the stairs...a big no no

I love to play in the bathroom!!

Maybe there is something good in here...

Nope, I am gonna try the drawer (gotta stand on my tip toes)

Ooooh...Qtips!!

Found some really good stuff in here....

Seconds before that picture in the background was on the floor

Maybe it's time to make a phone call...

Should I give mommy a break now?

Okay, guess I can slow down for sister!!

Getting the hang of things

Ella got a new bike for Christmas...a "big girl" bike that is. Although she is extremely excited about the idea of moving up from her tricycle, she still gets a bit (okay, quite a bit) nervous riding it up and down the sidewalks. Her tricycle was a gift from Grandma shortly after she turned two, and she could ride that thing for miles...literally. Nothing could stop her, not even the big hills around our house. She LOVED it! Her baby sister will now be inheriting that trusty tricycle...gotta love the hand-me-downs!

Ella got in a little more practice time this evening, and was more than willing to keep trying, spills and all. She will be cruising down the sidewalks in no time! Keep up the good work Ella!!

How Southern California does snow.....

We made a trip up to Big Bear today...well almost. The crazy amounts of rain we have gotten over the past week have made for crazy amounts of snow in the mountains. The snow plows have not been able to keep up and thus road closures have become inevitable. However, we decided to venture out in hopes of finding even a little bit of snow for the girls....
Mission accomplished!! We had driven just about as far as we were permitted, and there it was...a snow park just for inner tubing!! The empty parking lot lead us to believe it was closed, but we soon found out we would get to enjoy the park pretty much all to ourselves. Needless to say, the girls were excited!! This was Ella and Chloe's first time inner tubing, so we weren't too sure how ready they would be to hit the steep slopes. So, we started on the smallest hill we could find...that's all it took. After one run down the hill the girls wanted to find the biggest one...yes, even Chloe! I think the girls would have sled their way well into the evening, but we knew their hungry tummies wouldn't last much longer. We will definitely be back soon!!

Getting ready to find some snow

Chains were required...our daddy was a hero...he did it all by himself....

Snow plow clearing a path (look how pretty the sky is!)

We are ready!!

Mmmmm...I didn't know snow tasted so good!

The first run of the day

The second...Ella is such a big girl :)

Chloe insisted she walk, she more "waddled"

Climbing the stairs to the top...snow tunnels!!

Ready...set...go!!

That's home sweet home in the background!

Playing in the snow is hard work...

i luv you sissy...

I love being a mommy! The best part is watching the girl's interactions with one another. Chloe often times will pick up on things I say to Ella...lately she will get right into her big sister's face and softly say, "hi baby" or "hi sissy". She doesn't quite get that she is the baby. I have come to the realization that Ella thinks her baby sister is a life size doll...she picks her up, when mommy lets her of course, and puts her where she wants her to be....Chloe simply goes along with it (for the most part). Sister's are so much fun!!

Look what's popping up for spring!

I am creating the new blooms for this coming season. The colors are so fresh and light...kinda whimsical!  I will be adding some new stuff to Fleur du jour Boutique...check back soon!

Fleur du jour Boutique

Picture perfect

Well this might not be typical Southern California scenery, but this is what I woke up to this morning. I guess all these cold temperatures and endless rain were well worth it...God is AMAZING!

I love the palm trees with the snow-capped mountain range

Gorgeous blue sky

Just because

I love this picture I took of Barth and Ella last night. She wanted this hat so bad when we were at the store...she is not a big hat girl, so I hesistated to buy it. But, she sure looks cute in it...

A Royal Treat

Talk about a dinner "princess" style!! This was a new event for us at Disneyland (thank you auntie for making the reservations!) and the girls LOVED it!. It included a three course meal fit for royalty! Throughout dinner each of the disney princess' were announced...in a royal fashion of course...they stopped at each table and talked to the kids and posed for pictures. It was great. No lines, no rushing, it was perfect! We were all drenched from the rain, but not even a little bit of rain (okay, so a lot) could have stopped us from having an awesome time.

Chloe even judges Snow White....

Sleeping Beauty is Ella's favorite princess

Molten chocolate cake with a white chocolate Ariel...Yum!!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!

A trip to Disneyland is an absolute must when visiting California. So when we got word that Tawyna, Halo and Nova (my sister-in-law and nieces) were coming to see us we were not gonna let them miss out on any fun. We had a blast...from the rides, to the food, to the characters, to dinner with the princesses and even the rain...yes, it made for some amazing memories. We love you girls so much and cannot wait to have you back with us soon!!
