splish splash!!

this past weekend was full of relaxation and rest. both much needed.
with the end of the school year our schedules only seem to get busier and busier.
i am so ready for summer.
the girls got in a ton of pool time while we were in san diego. swimming lessons have paid off.
riley, though not able to swim on her own, is a fish. this girl is crazy.
she loves the water and made several attempts to dive into the pool all on her own. such a riley thing to do.
here is to a little taste of summer to come...

and here is miss crazy pants herself...

on the mend..

someone is feeling much better today.
never have we been more grateful for the absence of pink. pink eye that is.
love you baby girl.

potty training {joys}

we are stuck inside today.
it is day two of pink eye. day two of isolation. day two of this mama trying to keep from going crazy.
might as well make the most of the situation.
it's day one of hardcore potty training.
i count it a success so far.
a dry pull up. potty in the toilet. times two. no screaming baby. cookie rewards. everyone still in one piece.
she is very proud of herself.
i am extremely grateful for two very patient big sisters who have been very understanding of my inability to tend to their every single need.
i am also grateful for nap time and a break from setting the alarm to go off every 15 minutes followed by 10 minutes of story time in the bathroom.
here is too a successful remainder of the day and becoming a master of the toilet.
oh the joys of mommyhood!

how we felt about potty training before today...

the faces of potty training success...

we are just a little bit excited around here...

time to facetime grandma. who promised to do a backwards somersault after riley went potty.
she stayed true to her word. we have a pretty awesome grandma. you are so funny gma♥

faces of starbucks

we ♥ starbucks.
actually, we survive on starbucks.
when you have one doctor who lives off of a few hours of sleep, one mommy who is responsible for three busy extremely busy girls it become a necessity at times.
i fear we have passed on this love to our children.
riley can recognize a green umbrella from a mile away. seriously.
truthfully, barth and i have grown to love our morning cups of joe in the comfort of our home...with cheap being the greatest part of it all.
nonetheless we still love our occasional trips to starbucks.
this morning was no exception...

enjoying the first bite of that petite scone. it's her favorite.
taking a break...
 back for more...
 the sugar taking it's effect...
 chocolate milk makes her smile.
 and i am satisfied.
wait a second. one more freak out!
a mouthful of scone makes her smile too...

my graduate

last night we celebrated miss chloe and her completion of pre-k!!
the theme of the event was "around the world". to say it was cute just would not do it justice. it was ADORABLE.
earlier in the week my mom and i went on the hunt to find chloe a hanbok (traditional korean dress). we found it at our first stop.
as soon as chloe tried it on the big day could not come soon enough. it was the topic of her choice and she excitedly shared every last detail with us...over and over and over.
i am so proud of my little girl who has grown so much in the past year. your love for Jesus and others makes my heart smile and i am excited for the great things God has in store for you.
i love you my precious chloe dawnie♥

isn't this so cute? somehow they wore matching hanboks. completely unplanned.

snapped a picture of chloe getting her diploma up on the big screen.
look out kindergarten...here she comes!

happy {m♥m's} day

i spent sunday with my favorite people.
i am so blessed.
i have the most incredible mom who gives so selflessly on a daily basis. her love is unconditional and unending. she is super grandma. i pray i can be just like her.
i am blessed cause i get to be the mommy to three little girls who bring me more joy than i ever thought possible.
they look up to me, watching my every move, taking it all in, much like i did with my mom.
i pray that i may be a source of light to these three precious gifts. that they might see the love of Jesus in my words, my actions, my very countenance.
i know that i am far from perfect, but they love me simply because i am their mommy.
happy m♥ther's day to all the incredible mama's i have the pleasure to know. may you be so blessed!

i didn't capture many moments of the day. i guess i was too busy having fun. at least i got the delicious food our hubby's prepared.
I pray I can be more like the virtuous woman found in Proverbs...

Who can find a virtuous woman? She is far more precious than jewels...
Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle.
Her sons rise up and call her blessed.
He husband also praises her:
Many women are capable, but you surpass them all!
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
-Proverbs 31:10, 25-30
