{fun friday}

a school girl

a little update on day two of school for miss chloe...
she woke up excited and ready. an unexpected, but welcome surprise.
she proudly put on the outfit she carefully planned out for the day.
on the drive to school i kept my eye on her for any signs of apprehension. nothing. just a happy chloe.
her day was made when she spotted grandma waiting at the school to greet her. what a special treat.
drop off went relatively smoothly. she had a few tears and needed just {one} more hug.
still hard to let go....even for this mama.

♥8 months♥

you are 8 months today!!

you have become very vocal and you make sure everyone around you knows it.
you can eat...sweet potatoes, rice cereal, squash, bananas, apples, pears...you inhale it.
you had your first finger food two days ago, spanish rice at el torito. love it.
you make a funny panting noise when you are laughing, it is so cute.
you have two bottom teeth and judging by the endless drool and need to bite everything, there are more on the way.
you went the nursery at church this past weekend. you did great.
you get mommy all to yourself for the first time ever. 2 times a week.
you are trying to crawl. i am not encouraging it.
you spent an entire day away from mommy and did awesome. mommy sure missed you.
you can give high fives, thanks to grandma.
mommy is slowly introducing dairy back into her diet. how i have missed my ice cream.
you love to blow raspberries and drench everything while doing it.
you bob your head up and down when you hear music
when you wake up you roll to your tummy and face the door and watch for me
you are showing signs of having the heebie jeebies...it runs in the family.
you are slowly adjusting to our busy schedule and the fact that sometimes you may miss a nap or two
you love to give open mouth kisses. it is the sweetest thing ever.
we love you more and more each day miss riley roo♥

{p} is for preschool

today was a big day in the riedel household.
chloe had her very first day of school. a very big deal.
we have talked about this day for weeks, months, years really.
there was so much apprehension surrounding this impending day. 
just like her mama, chloe was letting her anxiety get the best of her.
she was anxious about being apart from mommy, anxious about meeting new friends, anxious if mommy would even be back to get her.
often times just mentioning the word school was all it took to start the flow of tears.
needless to say, i was feeling a little anxious myself.
i dropped her off this morning with lots of hugs and kisses and plenty of assurance that i would be back in no time.

i am now a proud mama of a kindergartener and preschooler.
yep, chloe made it.
not only did she make it through the day, but it was done with {hardly} a tear a shed.
little chloe you are growing up too fast. i am so incredibly proud of you and the big girl you are becoming. i ♥ u.

fun fest

we attended our first school event last night. the first of many i am sure.
the evening was filled with games, sweets, face painting, playtime, and worship.
barth has been on call all week...we were pretty lucky to have him with us the entire night without one page from the hospital.
love those kinda call nights.
