ready 4 riley

it is just a waiting game now.
sometimes i feel like a time bomb just waiting to go off.
if history repeats itself, miss riley could be here within days. crazy to think.
i have been a ball of energy the past two weeks, nesting as they call it.
my house has never been cleaner, and it never hurts to clean the toilets a few times a week, right?

after all the organizing, laundering, cleaning, rearranging and some
more cleaning and organizing...don't think i will stop till labor is upon me...
i think i am just about ready for my baby girl. sweet riley we are so excited to
meet you and become a family of five. you are very much loved already.

a closet full of clothes with more boxes ready and waiting...

the same bedding and rocker i have used for all 3 girls

every little girl loves to accessorize

love this necklace simone got me for christmas...she got one from me too.
love that we both secretly wanted one but had no idea we had ordered the same thing for each other. another sister moment.

tiny bowler

a little video i took of chloe bowling for the first time...

bowling in the new year

we took the girls bowling yesterday.
it was their first time to a real bowling alley. they loved it.
due to the recurrent contractions i had been having, barth wouldn't let me bowl.
i think he just didn't want me to show him up.

it was so much fun to watch the expressions on their faces.
they absolutely loved every part of it...we may have to add family bowling night to the calendar.

holiday call

barth is on call all weekend
the girls are loving their daily trips to daddy's work.

check out the color of barth's scrubs...definitely a daddy of 2, soon to be 3 girls!!

a pregnancy tradition

i am not one for big breakfasts.
i love my bowl, more like bowls, of cereal in the morning.
barth however, could eat a breakfast "denny's style" every morning.

pregnancy has a way of making me crave things,
and crave things in large quantities i would otherwise pass up.
yes, this is dangerous i know, but it just goes along with the territory i guess.
when i got pregnant with ella we hit up the local ihop for a breakfast feast.
barth was loving it and i found myself quite satisfied. so began the tradition.

the kids plates are HUGE...

...ella had no problem licking her plate clean, literally.

my big girl bed

i have had a number of things on my "to do" list before riley's arrival.
one item...transition chloe from the crib to her toddler bed.
with potty training and all of life's other craziness, i had been procrastinating.
i think i was a bit nervous too, not knowing how chloe would take to a new bed
where she was free to get in and out without mommy's help...her personality had me
thinking she would be taking advantage of her new found freedom pretty quickly.

well we did it.
she is LOVING it and doing awesome.
the first night we put her in the bed i had the "talk" with her...she was now
big enough to get in and out of bed all by herself, but she had to wait till it was light outside.
the next morning she woke up and laid there, very much enjoying her new bed.
much to my surprise she didn't run to our room....i sent ella in to get her.
she excitedly sat up and said, "is it sunny out ella?"...she hopped up and peeked outside...
"oh, now i remember!!". she was one proud little girl, and i am one proud mama.
