happy mother's day

i have the absolute best mother in the world. 

she makes me want to be a better mom. 

i couldn't ask for a greater example then her. she truly is incredible. i ♥ u.  

to my girls...i love you more than words could ever express. you are the loves of my life and i thank God for allowing me to be your mommy. i love u.

it is a full weekend here in san diego. seems like we are always looking for a reason to party.
today we celebrated uncle wade's birthday.
jasmine did an amazing job planning it....wade you are one lucky guy!

coffee with grandma

our trips to san diego always mean saturday mornings at starbucks.
usually we have the entire crew with us, but the boys headed out for an early morning round of golf.

a happy friday

thank goodness it's friday!
it has been a long two weeks for us girls.
daddy has been working quite a bit..the girls haven't seen him since tuesday.
we are nearing the end of the school year which always seems to fill up every last spot in our calendar.
good news is we made it and even better news we are heading to san diego this afternoon!!

in other news...i ♥ this girl.
i couldn't help but snap a few photos of her this morning on our way out the door.
can't believe how big she is getting.

we like to call this her "korean walk"...hands behind back. have you ever noticed that a lot of elderly asians walk this way. okay so maybe you have to be one to notice that, but it's true! she does it all the time just like her big sister did when she was baby. 

 last but not least...riley is completely obsessed with her button. she loves it and will show it to just about anyone who gives her attention. i love it.

mother's day tea with ella♥

i am back from a morning of cuteness.
today was mother's day tea with ella's class.
the tears were flowing as they put on a show for us and recited all the bible verses they have learned from september.
ella was up front and center her voice loud and clear, never missed a beat.
so much growth can be seen in this little girl. my heart swells with so much pride to see her glowing with confidence. she is so special to me.
i feel so incredibly blessed to be a mom..my girls are a gift from above, to precious to put into words.

sister time♥

 i love sister time.
it's even better during a yucky call week. and call week it was...for both brian and barth.
simone and her girls decided to pay us a visit friday evening.
i of course enjoyed every last second of her company and the girls loved having their cousins to play with.
we stayed up late, watched a movie and ate ice cream. a perfect evening in my opinion.
saturday we woke up bright and early for ella's last game of the season.
much to all our disappointment, the opposing team never showed up. the girls were not going to get off the hook that easily.
it was parents against kiddos. chloe and ariana got in on the action too. talk about the cutest goalkeepers ever.
sadly all good things must come to an end...simone and the girls packed up and headed home yesterday.
thank u for the sister time. we loved having you with us♥ only one more day of call left!

we are nearing the end of teacher appreciation week.
as room mom, i got the fun assignment of coming up with something special for our teachers.
i decided to go with a themed week. i came up with an idea for each day and it was up to each student to create or give something to their teacher to say "thanks" for all they do.

Monday..."because your so sweet"
we made some yummy glazed lemon ricotta cookies. we turned up the cuteness factor with our interpretation of  an idea we found over at eighteen25.

Tuesday..."a day at the spa"
i loved this one. next time i will use the berry baskets. this was another idea from eighteen25. you have to check out this blog if you haven't already.

Wednesday..."thanks a bunch"
this was a floral themed idea. you can never have too many flowers.

Thursday..."with love"
no pictures...boo. i had the kiddos each create a card for their teacher. we also did a little video of messages from the kids to their teacher.

Friday..."pick a card, any card"
who doesn't love a gift card?! we of course had to show some love for our favorite frozen yogurt shop. it is the best.

thank you to our teachers for all you do. thank you for loving and caring for my girls. you go above and beyond the call of duty to help them excel in so many ways. we ♥ u!
