a thank u party

this is party weekend.
one yesterday, one today and one tomorrow. and no they are not all for me.
today one of barth's patients threw a party for all the people who were involved in getting him back on his feet after a serious leg injury that nearly cost him both his legs.
i have to say as the wife of a doctor it was so refreshing to have a family so genuinely thankful.
it was quite the shin dig and yes babe i just said "shin dig" cause it was pretty amazing. barth can't stand that word, haha!

his patient is the fire chief. the girls were loving the fire truck. 

i snapped a few shots here and there. not pictured an incredible pool the girls swam in all afternoon, a bounce house and a dj. so fun. 

everything had a label of thanks on it. 

"tokens of appreciation" were used as confetti on all the tables

even the hershey kisses had labels on them. 

 this next one was pretty cool. a taco stand with some of the best tacos i have ever eaten. 

riley is such a party girl. she was loving all the action. 

i am blessed♥

yesterday i officially moved into my 30's.
it started out as any normal day...barth out the door for his packed full day, us rushing out the door to school...
then the first surprise. a text from my mama asking if i wanted to meet for coffee. surprise cause she was in san diego, or so i assumed.
her words, "did you really think i wouldn't come see you on your birthday?!"
and truthfully i had no expectations. with my dad, simone and her fam out of town and barth busy with work i just assumed it would be a normal yet special day simply because i grew one year older :)
we pull up to the coffee shop. surprise number two. my baby sis is waiting inside with a big smile of her face. she was supposed to be at work in san diego.

i spent the rest of the day simply enjoying the company of my mom, j and my girls. it was perfect.
i snapped this picture of riley loving on her grandma. i think it is so sweet.

as the evening drew near and the girl's tummies grew hungrier i called barth in hopes that we could meet up for dinner.
his response, "your going to have to hold off the girls a bit longer i am not quite finished..but let's meet around 6:30. "
we arrived at the restaurant just in time.
surprise number three. a BIG surprise. 30 friends waiting inside to celebrate with me.
my reaction...complete shock trying my best to hold back my tears. i felt so loved and so blessed at that moment.
here are just a handful of my guests...love each and every one.

barth special ordered several dozen mini cupcakes. they were soooo good.

thank you to each and everyone one of you who made my birthday so special and so memorable. i love you all and thank God for the blessing you are to my life.
a special thank you to my hubby for being so sneaky and planning the perfect party. i ♥ u babe.

a final fun friday

the school year is coming to an end.
it has gone by so fast and i have to admit i am a little sad.
sad because it means my babies are getting bigger.
this has been such an amazing school year. we were blessed to find a place for both girls that far exceeded our expectations.
i am mostly thankful for the teachers and friends that came into our lives. life-long friendships were established for both myself and my girls.

this was the last fun friday of the year.
can't believe how much ella has grown this year. love you sweet girl♥

riley has become so comfortable in this classroom. she loves getting into everything and usually acts like she owns the place.

ella & chloe have their summer dance recital coming up.
they just could not contain their excitement when costumes were handed out today at practice.
they are adorable.

ella's class is celebrating all their daddies today.
she has been talking about this morning for days. she is so excited to have barth there!

in keeping with tradition we did a little mini photo shoot this morning. i am sure our neighbors thought we were a bit crazy to be taking pictures at 7am.
