the patch

here are a few snapshots of our trip to the pumpkin patch this morning.
we grew by two kiddos this weekend. i am sure we were quite the sight as we did our best to keep all accounted for!
it was a gorgeous day, not a cloud in sight. looks like our summer weather will be with us for a bit longer.
the picture taking conditions were not ideal, but i think i got a few keepers...

happy fall.

fall has finally arrived.
time to dust off the long pants and sweaters.
yesterday it rained for the first time in a long time. rainfall is so different here than it was in washington. i love it.
no drizzle. but a dramatic down pour of rain that quickly fills entire streets and then as swiftly as it comes it is gone. it's quite refreshing.

mr. beaver

we had a play date today with mr. beaver. he really is the cutest and sweetest boy ever. 

he and chloe make quite the pair. both full of energy and spunk and a tender side that just melts your heart. 

they will be starting kindergarten together next fall. these two are buddies. i love it. 

it was so much fun having a boy over to mix things up a bit. thank you for coming to play today. we love u!

sweet pea

it seems like i am in survival mode these days. 

i feel tremendously blessed to be able to stay at home with my babies, but there are those days where nap time and bedtime just can't come soon enough. i know all my mommy friends can relate. 

this little girl has completely become her own little person in the past few months. 

never mind the fact that she is the baby of our bunch, miss riley can and will hold her own. 

my patience has truly been tested lately as i find myself asking God to grant me more of it during my prayer time. 

the days of her being little are fleeting. this is know to be so true. so i treasure every single second of every single day with my sweet pea. 

i love her with all my heart. 

smart cookie

the school year is well under way. time is flying, which seems to be the norm around here.
today was parent/teacher conferences at ella's school.
she is growing in leaps and bounds academically. she loves school, she really does.
it's like second nature to her, she flies through her homework each night with little effort and gobbles up every book we place in front of her...according to her teacher she is reading at beginner third grade level. looks like we have a bookworm on our hands.
i am a proud mommy to see her growing in so many ways. keep up the good work baby girl♥

on a completely different note....

guess who brought me my camera this morning and said, "mama, cheeeeese..." wanting me to take her picture, miss riley. 

i guess i have been slacking on my picture taking these days. 

love them

life seems busy these days. it's a good busy. 

between school, soccer and barth's crazy schedule i haven't been taking pictures much. i miss it. 

i snapped this one last week. their sweet smiles make my heart feel so full. i love them. 

in other news....

we celebrated onion's {uncle brian} birthday this past weekend in san diego. 

we love u onion. may this next year be overflowing with blessings from above.
