fab five.

we spent the extended weekend in san diego.

my girls love going to grandpa and grandma's house. 

and of course we can never get in enough fab five time. 

chloe and ari are kindred spirits while the babies love getting into trouble together. 

ella does an amazing job at keeping her eye on all the cousins making sure everyone is happy an accounted for. simone already has dibs on her for babysitting. 

i snapped a few pictures when we first arrived. i can't believe how big these girls are getting.

we stopped at a field today for a spur of the moment photo shoot.  

it's close to our house and i have had my eye on it since we moved. 

the sun was just about to set and i couldn't resist the incredible lighting. 

lucky for me the girls were all jacked up with sugar and were more than happy to satisfy and my love of photography.

the girls and i got to hang out with barth this morning.
i treasure these sporadic dates with my honey. never mind the fact that i am sharing him with two other ladies. it's simply time with him and i love it.
just like their daddy my girls get simply giddy with excitement for an early morning stop at starbucks and it gives barth a completely good excuse to satisfy his coffee addiction.

so this last one makes me laugh. let me explain. 

sweet little riley is fully embracing the terrible twos and i think this picture captures it pretty well. 

look closely for that little finger. she was pointing it right at me and scolding me for taking too many pictures.  

a message to riley..one day you will appreciate all these pictures. but until then i am going to keep snapping away no matter if you like it or not. ♥, mommy

school buddies♥

this is my morning crew.
jake is the newest member of our early morning rides to school.
when you are used to being around girls all the time, the presence of a boy sure does throw you for a loop.
my mind gets tired just watching him. but he is so much fun and such a good little kid.

us lately...

we are here! however i have not been so good about updating my blog. 

the last couple of weeks have been busy which always seems to be the case whenever barth has call. and this last one was a doozy. 

we are staying busy. loving our home. enjoying the warmer days. potty training has begun, kinda. there always seems to be something to do for the house. Bible study prep. just to list a few. 

this little girl is our bookworm. 

proud mommy here would like to share that she received straight a's on her last report card. 

her favorite books to read are junie b jones and the boxcar children. remember that last one? one of my favorites. 

if you give her a book you can expect it to be read from front to back in a day. not kidding. she devours them. 

i love her.

we are soaking in every second we can get with daddy. 

we kinda like him. can you tell?

house projects. 

so much fun to have a place to call our own. the to do lists are endless. 

we added a pop of color to our family room. i love it. 

i successfully cleaned our extra large sliders this weekend. completely streak-free. i was so pleased. oh the things that excite me these days. 

this little munchkin is quite the handful but i love her to pieces. she went potty in the big girl toilet for the first time today. her motivation? to be just like "sissy".
