these two munchkins are crazy about each other.

i am so blessed to be able to watch them grow closer each passing day...

A younger sister is someone to use as a guinea-pig in trying sledges and experimental go-carts. Someone to send on messages to Mum. But someone who needs you - who comes to you with bumped heads, grazed knees, tales of persecution. Someone who trusts you to defend her. Someone who thinks you know the answers to almost everything...

paper chains

the girls have been a bit under the weather since we got back from our trip.

not wanting her to miss out on some fun activities we have coming

up this weekend, i kept ella home from school. hope that the

extra rest will get her feeling back to herself sooner. 

the girls and i made a few paper chains today. a nice quiet activity, but one ella enjoyed very much.

this girl takes her arts & crafts time pretty seriously....

chloe added "a" link to our chain and decided dress-up would be more entertaining

dress-up was overrated...nativity set was a better attention keeper

first family pic with santa....and it was free!!

southwest air had santas at every airport during our trip up and back and offered free photos.

it was great. the santas were all adorable and looked like the real deal. so fun!!

a northwest christmas

we celebrated our christmas with barth's family a little early this year.  

with riley's arrival fast approaching, we didn't want to miss out on our

christmas celebrations up north.

i waited to tell the girls about our travels plans till the day before we were

supposed to leave...needless to say, they were SO excited. vacation mean lots

of "fun things" and undivided attention with daddy (our favorite part).

the days we spent in washington flew by like always, but we managed

to squeeze in lots of fun and good memories.

miss bright eyes

we are in the home stretch now.

it seems that my tummy is growing every day, or maybe my clothes are shrinking...

my doctor did a routine ultrasound today. i always love getting to take a peek our

growing baby. she is measuring about 4lbs now. if i make it to my due date that could

potentially put her right around 8lbs...that seems so big considering ella and

chloe were well under 7. she continues to remain in a head down position with her

legs resting "comfortably" at my rib cage. let's hope she stays that way.

tomorrow we leave for washington. looking forward to our last trip before riley's arrival!!

....okay, so not really. but it was close enough.

our past attempts at visiting daddy at work have been far from successful.

barth was on call the past few days and we had the privilege, yes we consider it a privilege,

to hang out at the hospital while daddy made the rounds on his patients. the girls absolutely loved it.
