sleeping beauty

gone are the days of naptime for all three of my princess'.
it appears as though the only one getting a little beauty sleep around here is riley. oh well.

guess who decided to willingly put {herself} down for a nap yesterday....

the faces of chloe

she is my middle child.
 firecracker, totally sassy, miss personality, energy for days, sweetheart,always into something, strong-willed, comedian, captain destructo...
just a few words that describe my little chloe.
i tell people she is the kiddo that makes me work for that mommy badge.
i too am the middle child. i am told there are many simiarlities between her and i. so they say.
nonetheless, she is one of my most precious gifts from above.
she can turn my entire day around with just one sweet smile.
she can make me laugh till my sides hurt with her many {chloe} phrases.
but the best are her faces. she has many, constantly changing and if you blink you just may miss one....

{me} time

we are getting the hang of our new schedule.
summer is now behind us.
no more "sleeping in", which really isn't what it sounds like.
the rush of the morning, getting 4 girls ready. this becomes a challenge when the hair is in abundance. which it is.
breakfast fed, lunches packed and out the door by 7:30am.
it's what we like to call {organized chaos}.
call me crazy, but i am enjoying every second of it.
maybe it's due to the fact that i need structure, and become much better at time management when there is barely a chance to catch my breath.
of course when night falls and i can finally exhale, sleep becomes my best friend.
i can only pretend to be {supermom} for so long.

i got in a little {me} time this afternoon.

chloe & riley...thank you for letting me get a jog in today. mommy appreciates your cooperation participation. yes, even mommies need a break every once in awhile. i ♥ u.

what's up doc

barth is currently away at a hand conference in vegas.

we are missing him just a little bit.

we paid a visit to his office earlier this week. our first time.

his office. yep, along with that "attending" title comes your own office.

barth's secretary bought the girls color books and crayons....

FuN Fridays

we are in week two of kindergarten.
ella is loving it.
she asks every day when i pick her up if she gets to go again tomorrow.
she comes home with 6 sights words to work on each week. it took her two minutes to get the first 6 down pat.
this girl is ready to learn. i am so proud of her.

every friday has been designated "fun fridays"
in short parents and siblings get to come hang out in the classroom for about 15 minutes after drop-off.
ella was so proud to show me her morning routine.
unpack her backpack, put her folder away, snack in the snack bin, backpack and lunch box in the cubby. i got this down mom.
she was still my timid ella though. she has such a gentle and sweet spirit. i love her, can u tell?

as i was looking around the room i spotted a wall full of pictures the kids made on the first day of school.
they each drew something special from that day. ella drew the playground outside.
then i spotted a drawing of a little girl that resembled ella...long pigtails and two flower clips.
i took a closer look. sure enough it was her. a boy in the class drew a picture of "my friend ella". it was so sweet.

a first worth noting.
this chunky monkey took a bottle today from mommy at school.
if you know my first two and their history with bottles, this was a pretty big deal.
