i cannot believe this little girl is turning one this week.
it is safe to say the date snuck up on me a little, okay totally took me by surprise.
has it really been a year?

i am taking attempting her one year pictures this afternoon. why is this age so impossible to photograph?
we got in a little pratice time this morning. the smile finally came after a few attempts.

AZ or bust

we took a quick road trip to arizona this weekend.

we shared an after christmas get together with barth's family.

there were a few "firsts" experienced on the trip.

the 4-hour drive down and back went pretty smoothly...if you don't count the "are we there yet" question that was asked about a gazillion times.

we spent the night in a hotel as a family of five (this was the girls favorite), toured a historical prison, tasted our first date shake and enjoyed the company of our family.

10 pictures. every hour. 10 hours.
it was a typical tuesday. a full schedule. yet there was still time to find the beauty all around.

a breath of {fresh} air

it looks like we are now on the mend.
shortly after my last post i came down with the stomach bug. so not fun.
thankfully barth didn't mind being super dad for the day.
if you haven't noticed by the pictures the weather has been absolutely gorgeous.
last week we were hitting the mid 80's...is this really january?!

we took in a much needed breath of fresh air this afternoon...

 this is the rambunctious one of the bunch....

and this just may be who she gets it from....

a new year's eve {to remember}

happy new year!
i still am finding it hard to believe it's 2012. my inability to correctly jot the date down during the last couple days is proof of that.
it seems like just yesterday we became a family of five, brining the count to 4 girls, 1 boy. i love it.

this year the boys {barth, brian & wade} planned a night out on the town for us sisters.
the evening was complete with a limo, dinner under the night sky, dancing, and so many fun memories.
as mentioned in my previous post, we just couldn't seem to kick the sickness.
my dear sister simone rang in the new year with a stomach bug.
i must say she was quite the trooper and held out till after the countdown before retiring for the night.
