the girls and i made our valentines this year...thanks to this idea on pinterest. 

i love that they each got to personalize their own with their little thumbprints.

it definitely took a little lot more time and patience, but i think they turned out super cute!

a doctor appointment {x2}

we had quite the busy day today.
amongst the many "to do's" was a check up for ella and riley.
i think i dread them more than they do, anticipating the shots, it's the worst, it really is.
chloe was quite the chatterbox during the entire drive to the office. she of course was breathing sighs of relief that it wasn't her turn.
ella kept a brave face the entire time despite the continuous question of whether or not shots would be administered.
riley of course had not a clue as to what was going on and was all smiles..until we got called back. really?  is she that perceptive already?!

we made it. yes we. the girls and myself included.
only one of the two walked away with shots {and the neon bandaids to prove it}.
i am grateful to my heavenly father for healthy growing girls, and the bonus rolls that come with it.

riley {one year} stats

height: 29 3/4" (65.57%)

weight: 21lbs 4oz (51.88%)

head circumference: 46.5cm (84.31%)

p.s. i think i can officially say we have a walker. riley decided to stand up and cruise the room the entire evening...as wobbly as it was, it was precious. 

leaps & bounds

i feel like this little one is growing like crazy. 

it seems like it's a new skill every day. 

this past saturday she took 5 steps. looks like she will be cruising in no time! 

her favorite new pose is the "ostrich", as i like to call it. it is hilarious. the picture isn't that great, but you get the idea. 

tomorrow i take her {and ella} to the doctor for her yearly checkup. it looks like shots are in order...be back tommorow with an update!

it has been a great weekend.
no schedule. no call. just lots of family time. i love it.

you don't fully appreciate the significance of groundhog's day till you have a kindergartener.

today was all things phil...the groundhog that is.

ella's teacher went above and beyond with the kiddos today. who knew there was so much to learn about this day.

i was lucky enough to be in charge of the special snack. thank goodness for pinterest!
