when the boys are away...
...the girls will play.
our boys {and my mom} are away on a fishing trip to alaska. i may be just a tad bit jealous.
barth was so hesitant to go with his busy work schedule, but it didn't take much pushing on my part for him to finally agree on the time off.
judging by our phone conversations he is having the time of his life, spending most of his days on the boat surrounded by indescribable views and great company.
here on the home front us girls are staying busy with our normal routines, some days a bit more crazier than others.
i decided a trip to san digeo would help pass some of the time and keep our minds off of daddy's absence.
the girls got in lots of cousin time and i got in some much needed adult conversation and sister time.

showing a little asian pride...
i have been living vicariously through my hubby via these phone pictures. can't wait to see you. love u.
go sharks!
it's another season of soccer. this time we are rooting for the sharks.
ella is loving her twice a week practices and just played her first game this weekend.
the heat around here has been almost unbearable and to add to it our typical dry heat has gone into tropical mode making it extremely muggy.
we thought we got lucky gaining a morning time slot for our first game, but the heat did not miss a beat as the temperature reached 100 before we even started.
the girls were troopers and stuck it out the entire time and walked away with a 4-3 win. wooo hoooo!! {daddy you missed a great game}
and yes, i am still that crazy mama who yells from the sidelines.

riley roo
i took riley to her 18 month check up this morning. yes i know, i was a bit behind.
the one to one ratio was a much welcome change. why did i ever think one baby was hard?
riley is growing like a weed and according to her doctor has an amazing vocabulary. i attribute this to the big sisters.
the first portion of our visit was a breeze. we read books, talked to the doctor and even had time for a few pictures.
then came the shots. one in each leg. in typical riley fashion she screamed for about 10 seconds, stopped abruptly and giggled. tough cookie.

tooth fairy♥
the tooth fairy paid a visit to our home last night.
that tooth that had been holding on for dear life finally came out right before bed and it looks as though #2 will be following soon.
perfect timing for school pictures next week...good thing she is still as adorable to me as ever.
being that it was her first tooth {we made sure to emphasize this point to her} the fairy generously left a lalaloopsy doll for her.
she came into our room in the middle of the night so excited at the very sight of her new toy.
love her and her new smile.

to my grandma {gigima}...
i love you so much. i have so many wonderful memories of you. i loved the summer trips we made to eugene. the slumer parties in your spare bedroom, waking to the smell of fried potatoes, picking blueberries and watching you magically turn it into a cobbler. i am so grateful i get to share you with my girls. i am forever grateful for your endless prayers over me and my family. i love you so much♥
"an hour with your grandchildren can make you feel young again. anything longer than that, and you start to age quickly." -gene perret
