the stats {2 years}

miss riley had her 2 year check up today. 

i was lucky to have chloe with me. she absolutely loves going to see the doctor...as long as it's not for her. 

after i assured her what felt like a dozen times that it was just for riley, she quickly resumed the big sis role and did a fantastic job of keeping her sister calm. 

here are her stats and a few snapshots of my baby girl. i love her.

we haven't seen each other very much this week. but know that i love you so much and am so proud of you. 

survival of the fittest

we are five days into call week. it's been a busy one to say the least.
some days i feel like i am in survival mode. sounds dramatic i know.
it's a juggling act doing my very best to keep all girls happy and attended too, preparing meals, maintaining the house in a somewhat livable manner, errand runs and an ever growing to do list just to name a few.
add to the above a two year old who is the epitome of the term "terrible twos".
we haven't seen much of daddy since sunday but we are making it literally by the grace of our heavenly Father.
i find daily comfort in his very presence and just when i feel like i may blow my top his grace abounds and i reminded of how blessed i am.

would love all your prayers for my hubby. sleep has been minimal. last night he got just a few short hours of shut-eye and it was back to a full day of surgeries. prayers for a clear mind, an extra dose of energy and steady hands. thanks guys♥

it was such a blessing to share this special day with all of our family.

happy birthday to riley roo! today you are two!!

you are sassy. i don't know why they call it the terrible two's.
you are very vocal and love to talk very loudly. i think it would be safe to call it screaming.
you are a great sleeper. down around 7:30 up at 7. one nap.
you can hold your own and know just how to get your way.
you always wake up very happy.
you like to tease. you love to tell us that you are five and wait for us to tickle you until you say two.
your favorite thing to eat is macaroni and cheese. you would eat it every day for every meal if i let you.
you do not like meat. i think it's a texture thing.
you are an escape artist. i have not figured out how to keep you in your seat belt. it's terrible.
when we drive in the car you absolutely must be wearing shoes.
i can rarely make it through a trip to the store without a major meltdown. i hope it's just a phase.
you love to pray and point up to the sky when we ask where Jesus is.
you love your sisters and want to copy every single thing they do.
you love to dance gangnam style and will randomly break out in the dance moves throughout the day.
you don't like to have your picture taken and so i bribe you with candy. it only works the first time.
you love to talk on the phone and will pick up my cell and call people usually without me knowing it.
you don't like getting your diaper changed. maybe it's time to potty train.
every night when i put you to bed we sing "bless the Lord" and "you are my sunshine", followed by a prayer by mommy and then by you.
you are a mommy's girl through and through and i love it.

we love you so much riley. thank you for bringing so much happiness into our lives. and even though you are getting bigger you will always be mama's baby♥

a teaser

my baby is turning two this weekend. two. 

two means toddler, no longer baby. it makes my heart a little sad. why do they have to grow up so fast?

i took her to the park today for a little photo shoot. 

and just like any two year old she wanted nothing to do with the camera. i of course brought candy to bribe her.
