happy halloween 2013

it's a modge podge kind of year. 

at the end of every halloween i always tell myself that next year i will plan ahead and not wait till the last minute. 

but every year its the same thing. scrambling to put the girls outfits together. 

oh well, at least they are all decked out with smiles on their faces. 

we had what i like to tell the girls is a dress rehearsal for our costumes. 

in reality its really just another photo op without all the craziness of the actual day. 

they bought it and i got some cute shots.

yep, in case you haven't heard jasmine and wade are having a baby GIRL!!
are hearts are so full! thank you Lord for these precious blessings.

firenze, italia

florence was gorgeous.
the sights of the city seemed to be out of a painting, almost too beautiful to be real.
this is of course the city of the infamous david, naked and all for the world to see. it is also the burial sight of michelangelo who painted the sistine chapel.
i think my favorite part of this stop was the food. we enjoyed an incredible lunch of some of the best italian food i have ever tasted. seriously so good.

daddy's girl {a social}

i got the privilege to take a few photos of my niece and her daddy on this special occasion.
let me just say this is the cutest idea ever. i love the bond between a daddy and his little girl and what a special way to show her exactly the way she deserves to be treated.
ariana's school hosted a daddy/daughter social. no detail was left out. from the beautiful dress, to the flower that adorned her wrist to the sweet reminder not to stay out too late. we know how those daddies can get carried away when fun is to be had.

by far my favorite part about our home...

Such an incredible reminder of His awesomeness. It takes my breath away each morning to wake to these sunrises. No two are ever the same. Reminds me that His mercies are new each morning, perfectly measured out to meet my every need. ♥

picture day♥

it has been unusually quiet over here in blog land.
life has once again become busy. i must admit i kinda like it.
the girls are well into the school year, soccer has begun and Bible studies are about to come into play full swing.
i am ashamed to say that i still have not completed all my posts from our trip, but they will come. i promise.

for now i had to share a few shots i captured of my girls this morning.
it is picture day at school and it would be against my nature to not take a few snapshots myself.
