Are we the only parents...

...who have to sneak in snacks to satisfy our cravings? Ella and Chloe will never turn down a snack offer, especially if it involves candy and chips! I think I have the biggest sweet tooth and I find myself trying to get my candy fix in throughout the day. I of course don't want to give my girls sweets all the time, so I strategically plan when I can pop a hershey kiss here and there.  Poor Barth was so hungry after a long day of operating and all he wanted was some good ole' chips...

Attempting to be sneaky

Caught you babe!

...I know there are more of us out there!!

PaPa Tuesday

Another weekly tuesday night conference for daddy, meant a night out to dinner with Papa!! The girls always get so excited to see him and it is nice change of pace for me. We are so so lucky to have my dad around when Barth gets busy with work...which is often times the case!

We ♥ Papa

This past Tuesday we went to Applebees...Ella's choice. On the drive over Ella had a very serious conversation with me about eating vegetables. She is NOT a fan of the veggies and I have been working to try and extend her palate beyond peanut butter & jelly, mac & cheese, and anything with sugar in it's contents..okay, so it is not as bad as I am making it, but she does really have a tough time with those green things. Back to Ella's conversation...she explained to me that since she was four now, she was going to eat lettuce, and that at dinner she would be ordering lettuce. I of course didn't think she would follow through, but I went along cause she was so cute about it. Fast forward to dinner...I placed her usual order with the waitress but quickly stopped when I looked over at Ella, who was on the verge of tears, who anxiously exclaimed, "mom..I told you I wanted lettuce...". This was monumental!! Without hesitation I added a side salad (and yes, she actually ate some), her smile was priceless!!

Magic kisses

I just found out today that I have magic kisses! Yep, that's right!! It was our typical afternoon, with naptime fast approaching...Chloe had her own set of plans and laying down was not one of them. She looked at me as she always does this time of day, shook her little head and stated, "no, no, no, no!" (she is quite strong-willed). Before taking her upstairs I did a quick diaper change and bent over to give her a kiss. She looked up at me and softly said, "more, more". I of course took advantage of this highly unusal scenario and gave her a few more kisses...before I knew it she was snoring!! I could not believe it. I guess us mommies really do have super hero powers :)

(photographer Ella took this pic...thank you baby!)

Doctor daddy

My girls love love anything and everything medical (except when it involves them & shots). Barth is always bringing stuff home from work so that the girls can see what daddy gets to do...they LOVE it! While blogging the other night, I noticed it had gotten unusually quiet in Ella's room. This is what I found....

I love the pretend doctor tools he is using! We ♥ U Daddy!!!

This way to the beach...

The weather in San Diego was awesome this past weekend...perfect weather for the beach!! The tide was so high that we were not able to take our walk by the water, but I still managed to get a few cute shots of Miss Chloe. I love the picture of her walking with Grandpa...she loves her "papa".

Cousin CUTEness

Call weekend for daddy only meant one thing...head to San Diego! The girls love hanging out with their cousin Ariana. They really are three peas in a pod...
