love my girls

these little cutie pies have brought more joy to my life than i ever thought possible.
i feel so incredibly blessed to wake up to their sweet faces each morning.
it makes all those challenging days worth every last second.
just feeling really thankful that God chose me to be their mommy♥

chloe & samchoon

meet samchoon {which means uncle in korean}.
in june of 2010 he was struck by a car while outside of his own vehicle. he sustained major injuries, ones that nearly cost him his life.
God had other plans for his life that day, however doctors were forced to amputate a large portion of his leg in order to save him.
his road to recovery has not been an easy one.
last year chloe and samchoon's paths crossed. i didn't realize at the time how much of an impression he had left on her.
in the days following, chloe's concern for samchoon became more and more evident to me.
not a day would go by without her questioning how he was doing or without her saying a prayer that Jesus would heal him.
her faith that Jesus would bring healing was so steadfast and overflowing with certainty that he would be okay.
as her mommy i was both surprised and full of joy as i watched it all take place. it was completely moving to say the least to see my little three year old so full of love and hope.
the healing that has taken place, especially in the last year, has been nothing short of miraculous.
when chloe found out that samchoon had been healed her excitement just couldn't be contained.
she was even more excited that Jesus could really hear her. her ability to pray and have it answered by someone "way up high" was affirmed.
it has been such a blessing to see her spiritual growth in the past year. it has been huge.
she is a little prayer warrior.
my favorite is her love of worship songs. singing them at the top of her lungs in public places is pretty typical.

today samchoon paid her a special visit. she was beaming.

something new...

...everyday
seems to be the case with this age.
riley somehow got into the stash of bibs she wore during her spit-up days. much too small for her now.
she insisted i put it on her. so i did.
there was no taking this thing off for a majority of our day. nevermind the fact it was cutting off circulation.

oh and this is still going on....

Ooooooooo

i love this little girl.
she is becoming so independent and so sassy now that she can walk on her own two feet.
this is her latest...she walks around and makes this face and thinks she is the funniest thing ever.
my goodness i love you riley roo.

my artist

ella drew a picture tonight.
i was so impressed i had to share.
she definitely did not get her ability to draw from me...pretty good for a six year old don't you think?

my ella has been fighting a yucky cold {check out those eyes}. feel better soon baby♥

like daddy, like daughter

it's spring soccer season and guess who is giving the game another shot?
this little lady...

barth is over the moon about this considering soccer was such a significant (to say the least) part of his pre doctor years.
our past attempt of soccer with ella was good, but she was less than thrilled to start another season.
i think kindergarten has helped to bring her out of her shell a bit.
today was her first practice and she loved it. i am so proud of this girl.

this shot i got of ella gave barth the heebie geebies...
haha! sorry babe. you know it's true.

check out this little peanut who was having a hay day on the field.

here's to another season of soccer...times two (chloe starts in a month)
