chloe & samchoon

meet samchoon {which means uncle in korean}.
in june of 2010 he was struck by a car while outside of his own vehicle. he sustained major injuries, ones that nearly cost him his life.
God had other plans for his life that day, however doctors were forced to amputate a large portion of his leg in order to save him.
his road to recovery has not been an easy one.
last year chloe and samchoon's paths crossed. i didn't realize at the time how much of an impression he had left on her.
in the days following, chloe's concern for samchoon became more and more evident to me.
not a day would go by without her questioning how he was doing or without her saying a prayer that Jesus would heal him.
her faith that Jesus would bring healing was so steadfast and overflowing with certainty that he would be okay.
as her mommy i was both surprised and full of joy as i watched it all take place. it was completely moving to say the least to see my little three year old so full of love and hope.
the healing that has taken place, especially in the last year, has been nothing short of miraculous.
when chloe found out that samchoon had been healed her excitement just couldn't be contained.
she was even more excited that Jesus could really hear her. her ability to pray and have it answered by someone "way up high" was affirmed.
it has been such a blessing to see her spiritual growth in the past year. it has been huge.
she is a little prayer warrior.
my favorite is her love of worship songs. singing them at the top of her lungs in public places is pretty typical.

today samchoon paid her a special visit. she was beaming.
