luv my girls

welcome home daddy!

We were definitely ready for Barth to be back at home. Me and my girls are used to him not being around a lot, but it's just way different and harder when he is clear across the country...a week was long enough, too long! We decided to show up at the airport and surprise Barth, we just couldn't wait until he got home. It made for a fun outing and one happy daddy!

Hiding from daddy...getting ready to surprise him!!

blasting blueberries vs. blue faries

I am loving all these team names. Ella had her second game early this morning (we were at the field @ 7:30). Their team did awesome...they tied the blue faries 2 to2!! Go blueberries!!!

Chloe is Ella's biggest fan..she really gets into it

Our week without daddy

I was so excited...and grateful when Simone and Ariana decided to spend a few days with us while Barth was in New Orleans. It helped the week to go faster and the girls loved playing together. Simone and I enjoyed the peaceful evenings together, laughing at whatever, watching movies and just spending some much needed sister time.
We are so incredibly anxious (especially me I think) to have Barth home later today...Saturday could not have come soon enough. Thank you Boppy and Ari for hanging out...we love u girls!

The BLASTING BLUEBERRIES!!

Put me in coach!!

I am officially a soccer mom...and I am totally fine with it!! Ella had her first game and although they didn't win (they only had one practice and it was the day before) they did amazing!! Barth and I are so incredibly proud of Ella. We were a little apprehensive as to how she would react to a real game....but three quarters of playing later she was ready for her next game. She mostly migrated around the field with the ball, not really getting a whole lot of contact, but she never stopped running and never gave up. I think the best part was watching how happy it made Barth, he is one proud daddy....

Soccer chick

Soccer is a HUGE piece of Barth's life. He started playing around Ella's age and this continued well into medical school. It is hard to find time to play with his busy schedule these days. He has always hoped our kids would enjoy the sport as much as he did and still does, but having girls...girly girls....you just never know.
I went for it and signed Ella up through AYSO. I knew we had to start somewhere and at least have her try it. We got a call from her soccer coach last week who informed us her first practice would be in two days and her first game would be that following day...talk about get thrown into it head first!! Although her first practice started out a bit rough, she stuck it out and did her best to at least try it...by the end, she was really enjoying herself.

Love her little shoes

a little pre-practice snack

Ready to practice (she is the smallest and youngest on her team)
