blog fever

I have been a bad blogger lately. Life has been a bit hectic and I am missing it (blogging) like crazy!! I am in San Diego this week....tomorrow I get to see Simone, Ari and my mom. Words cannot express how excited I am to just hug them. I am hoping to catch a few good shots of their arrival. However, I realized that I left my camera adapter at home...guess I will have to wait to post till wednesday. Until then, this post will have to tide me over.....

Today we took my mom to the airport. It was a bittersweet good bye. We were sad to see her leave, but so excited that she will be bringing Simone and Tuppy back with her. It has been weeks, months actually, since we last saw them, and boy do we miss them like crazy!! Hurry home to us!

a california vacation

Although we didn't want to travel far for our vacation, we still wanted to do something special...what could be more fun than staying in a hotel....right next to DISNEYLAND??!! I am not sure what the girls enjoyed more, the hotel or disneyland....okay maybe visting mickey was a little more fun.

The Flower Fields

Barth and the girls had a few suprises up their sleeves for mother's day this year...

I got my first gift a few days before (house cleaning for two months!!)....it was a complete suprise, totally unexpected. Talk about spoiled huh?? I better not get too used to this...

We headed to church on Sunday. Before we left Barth had told me to bring my camera and dress the girls in something kinda cute, but would be okay to get a little dirty. Hmmmm....my wheels started turning. Knowing how much I love to take pictures, he took me to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. It was incredible, rows and rows of ranunculus flowers as far as I could see. I of course was in heaven! The rain tried to ruin the occasion, but I was still able to get a few fun shots. Thank you Barth. Ella and Chloe for an amazing Mother's day. You make being your mommy an incredible blessing. I love you guys!!

last year Barth connected with an old friend from Federal Way high school. Crazy part is that he lives just a few miles from my parents in San Diego. There is never a dull moment when these two get together, they have the same sense of humor and seem to make all of our conversations end in stomach-hurting laughter...
